By day, the striking modern design will make the first impression as you approach Hotel Americano located on far West 27th Street in Chelsea, New York City. The 10-story contemporary boutique hotel exudes architectural sophistication inside and out. Cambridge Architectural’s stainless steel metal fabric system luxuriously texturizes the exterior facade creating an eye-catching veil for the structure. At night, the forward-thinking mesh system exudes the hotel’s interior lights and movement of the elevator creating an inviting dance from the street view.
The strong yet chic frontispiece, that is the Cambridge architectural mesh, facilitates a pleasant interior environment- reducing glare to the building while providing ambient daylight and unobstructed views of North Chelsea and a morsel of the glorious Manhattan skyline. The mesh maintains the façade while providing another layer of privacy for guests.
Cambridge applications always combine superior aesthetics with high-quality performance, eliminating the need for additional materials. Stainless steel architectural mesh is a 100% recyclable material that is virtually indestructible, outlasting most other materials in durability and ultimately minimizes the need to repair or replace the exterior. Furthermore, the shading system reduces cooling loads to the building, which results in cuts to energy costs. It can contribute to solar heat gain reduction and does not mitigate views - all important considerations for high-performance buildings. Cambridge Architectural is an active member of the USGBC®, and helps architects take maximum advantage of LEED credit through the many categories in which architectural mesh systems apply.
