12 million travelers pass through Montreal-Trudeau Airport each year; and those passing through U.S. Customs will now notice a unique security gate created with Cambridge Architectural mesh.
Montreal-Trudeau Airport prides itself on being a front-runner in technology and safety. The sleek nature of architectural mesh, combined with the high-tech form of the movable partition system, creates an unobtrusive and polished look for the space. The system provides a light, airy aesthetic, while offering reliable strength and security.
Cambridge provides a perfect system solution – a combination of strong, yet flexible architectural mesh and a movable system secured by electromagnets. Each of the mesh panels are designed to connect so that materials cannot pass between them, while their bottoms all raise simultaneously. When lowered, electromagnets hold the panels to the floor, making them immovable. The Mid-Balance pattern has large-scaled, flexible open weaves to leave the space feeling open, even when panels are lowered. Metal mesh is made of stainless steel, providing durability and requiring virtually no maintenance.
In addition to the aesthetics of Cambridge mesh, the Montreal-Trudeau Airport fully utilized Cambridge’s engineering experience and project support from start to finish. Because the security gate was a non-standard architectural system, adjustments needed to be made along the way. Due to Cambridge’s ongoing support, all project issues were solved and the installation of the mesh partitions was simple. Cambridge always offers full engineering support for its systems, and honors a Gross Maximum Pricing model – assuring clients that regardless of how the project’s needs change, Cambridge’s price will not.
Cambridge manufactures 100% recyclable stainless steel entirely in the USA, and is an active member of the USGBC®.
