"Cambridge's mesh was a natural fit for our design scheme. Thematically, it blends well with the space and is uniform in appearance. Functionally, it is standing the test of time due to the material's sturdiness, durability and stain resistance."

The Ludlow, a Lower East Side luxury apartment rental tower, offers modern upscale living and premium amenities in one of the oldest and most historic neighborhoods in New York City. The tower ascends 23 stories above the corner of Ludlow and Houston Streets, complementing both the old and the new aesthetics of its surroundings. On the inside, Cambridge mesh wraps the Ludlow's lobby reception desk as well as the two columns that artistically frame it when viewed from the building's entrance.

The Cambridge system proves to be the perfect counterpart to the glass, bamboo and terrazzo of The Ludlow's lobby. The final design is simple, clean and sophisticated.

The architectural mesh system specified for The Ludlow provides an ideal functional solution for its column and desk cladding. Stainless steel metal fabric is extremely durable, with a life cycle that far outlasts alternative products. Not to mention, the material requires minimal maintenance and cleaning after installation – all perfect for a lobby that demands high style and sees high levels of traffic every day.

Cambridge Architectural’s systems always combine superior aesthetics with high-quality performance, eliminating the need for additional materials. In The Ludlow, the virtual indestructibility and lifecycle of the mesh cladding reduces maintenance costs, and assures that there will be no need for replacement materials. Additionally, the durability of stainless steel assures that the material will maintain its pristine look for years to come. Furthermore, Cambridge's rigid metal fabric panels were specifically engineered to undulate with the lobby’s reception desk and curve to completely wrap the lobby's columns, ensuring a successful and issue-free custom installation.
